Albedo had checked in early for move in. His dorm was now immaculately put away. Every book on the shelf on his side of the room, the bed neatly made, even the posters on the wall (displaying scientific discoveries and the periodic table of elements) was hung so it wasn't even remotely at an angle. His drawers were filled with his close and he finally set up his desk the way he liked it. However, his roommate was coming at any point now. It was the one thing Albedo dreaded more than anything. A roommate. Ugh, people. Yet, he was here at the school because his father wanted him to socialize (gross) with people his own age with powers like him.

Claude never thought he would be here and free from under the high society teaching, and under his uncle's thumb, it was good but strange, strange to be in a new place without that hovering. He would have to shake it off though, he didn't want to appear nervous to his new roommate. He didn't have a lot from his time in his old home, the only thing really were clothes. So, whatever the roommate had was enough for him, he would have to go get some books or something to fill in his own space.
With a smile on his face, he opened the door, and was not surprised to see the roommate already there. "Hey there, roomie." he greeted warmly.

Albedo bristled. Like a cat that was being set upon by a roomful of toddlers. He grimaced. There was no avoiding the person who was going to be living with him for the next school year, but that didn't mean he had to like it. Unfortunately, it seemed the school frowned upon students going roommate-less. Despite what he thought was a logical argument against having one.
"Hello," he greeted with far less vigor than the other man.

Uh oh. This didn't look sound good, the boy before him was less than enthusiastic to greet him. Maybe he wanted a room to himself? Not that Claude blamed him, one could get a lot done without another person poking into their business, however, Claude planned to do just that. Poking is what made him interesting. Plus, maybe with another prodding, the blonde boy would open up a bit more. His green eyes scaled the room, it was neat and tidy, it looked almost like something would break if he touched it.
'Don't start off by stepping on toes Claude, you can do that once you get to know him.' a voice in his head spoke softly. "Name's Claude, nice to meet you." he wasn't sure, what he was supposed to do in this situation.
His uncle always said to greet others with a hand shake but what if said person wasn't really in the accepting type of mood? Rather than risk anything, Claude placed his hands behind his head and leaned on them. "You did a good job with the place."

"Albedo."
Said youth walked over to his bookshelf, picked up a book on thermonuclear dynamics and laid out on his bed, cracking it open to his bookmarked page. It was a new topic to him, and he wanted to give it his utmost attention. He could only hope his roommate was a quiet individual. Otherwise, he would have to take his study sessions elsewhere. Nothing would be more inconvenient for him.
"I like to keep things neat." he said simply.

Claude nodded in thought as he took a seat on the empty bed left open for him, he would really have to go get some new stuff. At least it would be that simple, there were plenty of stores in town that could help get him the stuff he needed. The brunette was not quite sure what to make of Albedo yet, it seemed like the blonde wanted to be left alone.
"Cool, I'll try to make sure that my stuff is pretty cleaned up, though I don't have a lot right now.." he shrugged his shoulders. "I'll try to stay out of your hair as much as I can but it might be hard to do." he smirked.

"I'll only be here to sleep," Albedo replied. "I'm only here now because they haven't given me my library card yet."
As if it took more than ten minutes to print an ID. He was pretty sure the resident advisor of the dorms only said it would take 24 hours was because they wanted him to meet his roommate. He couldn't imagine any other reason than that. To keep all the students in one place for at least a day before they were unleashed upon the school property and surrounding area.

"Ah I see, you are a reader then." Claude leaned back frowning, that put a bit of a damper on things then. He was hoping to spend a little bit of time with this roommate. Find out what made him tick and just see if they could get along but perhaps they could run into each other in the library. He would at least have to get some studying in to get his grades up to make his uncle happy. He would just have to learn as much as he could about his roommate in a short time.
"You don't have to answer if you don't wanna but you got a gift?"

Albedo closed his book. It seemed there would be no reading until his roommate's curiosity was satiated. It was best to get it over with, he decided, to show that he was a boring stick in the mud and not worth attempting to get to know. Though, his father desperately hoped that he would make friends. It was his father's greatest fear that his intellect would encourage less than desirable traits is his son. On more than one occasion a teacher had referred to him as a super villain in class due to the lack of expressiveness or ethics.
"I have superior intellect," he said, "I'm attending the school because I was bored in college."

Claude gave a slow impressed whistle. Not many people could say they went to college already. Most kids wouldn't want that kind of pressure but if Albedo really did have a gift like that, well it made sense. He was slowly starting to see his roommate in a newer light, now the neatness and all the books made sense. Perhaps he still wanted to learn as much as possible.
"Sounds like you are pretty busy. What happened? College not interesting enough?"

"My father encouraged me to try something new after the school banned me from the science lab for putting rocket boots on a cat," Albedo replied, bored.
It hadn't even been a particularly dangerous experiment. No one was hurt. Not even the cat. The school had blown up about it, as if he had been doing something horrendous. It had just been because he had been bored in class. Besides, he wanted to try the boots on something smaller before moving onto people. Granted, looking back, he miscalculated because cats had four legs and therefore more surface area for a rocket boot to cover than a human, with two legs. And yet, his rocket boots (on cats) worked. The class was horrified when he flew his pet around the room. His cat - used to his antics - barely batted an eye.

Claude blinked, that was not what he was expecting. He would have thought that the guy had been bored with just generic college courses. They were all basically the same as high school classes just a bit more interesting, but putting rocket boots on a cat. That was something that most schools did not teach. That meant that his roommate was an inventor and could probably invent a lot of things.
"That's incredible." Claude replied. "I don't think they should have banned you though, probably made the class more exciting with a cat floating around." He certainly would have wanted to see it.

Albedo shrugged. He wasn't broken up over being banned from the lab. He had been bored hence his experiment of if he could put rocket boots on a cat. In fact, the hardest challenge had not been inventing the boots, but putting said boots on the cat in the first place. The degrees meant very little to him, because he had only taken the classes out of sheer boredom. At least with this school he was likely going to avoid any of that.
"The cat didn't like it."

"Yeah, I can imagine."
Though the image of a cat hovering around a classroom made him smirk slightly. It was a funny scenario to imagine. Claude would have given his roommate an A for creativity, at least for thinking outside of the box. After all, testing out a new invention like rocket boots on humans first wouldn't be the most graceful and more students would have ended up with broken bones.
"But hey, on the bright side, you are a new school right? They might take a more liking to your inventions. Plus, your gift could come in handy during some pretty difficult situations."

Albedo shrugged. He felt almost like being at this new school was a punishment, but it beat getting another useless degree. It's not like he was motivated enough to work for some corporation or take an office job. In his mind, there was no greater waste of his abilities. Besides, that school would have let him come back eventually. They couldn't resist boasting about their 'top' students.
"And why are you here?" he asked, to steer the topic off himself.
