Superhero Name (if any): Lich
Backstory: Jack was born to a Mexican superhero duo. Because of his mother’s life giving powers, it nerfed the intense death touch his father had to half. They lived a peaceful existence until his mother was offered a job across the border. His father was skeptical, but enough discussion about it changed his mind. His mother’s new job was the form of a schoolteacher. She loved every aspect of it, from caring for children and teaching them Mexican traditions. Jack went to Hero High as a foreign exchange student, enjoying being around people that didn’t judge his proneness to accidentally making metal doors rust. But when his family moved from Mexico, he was a full time student. Senior year, he graduated at took the mantle of Lich. He was feared because of his appearance, but eventually people learned to respect his criminal knowledge. Jack was assigned a sidekick in the form of a swordswoman named Maria aka “La Espada”. Jack and Maria worked well off of each other, and eventually a something other than a partnership formed. Jack made plans to propose, when Maria was killed by a poison unknowingly slipped to her by a jealous ex. Jack reported the incident to the police, but because of the burns he accidentally left on her arms, they accused him of being the killer. Enraged, Jack made ready to transfer back to Mexico. Luckily, his parents were able to get a superhero lawyer that proved his innocence. Despite the good news, Jack feared getting close to anyone ever again, and never took on another sidekick. But every cloud has a silver lining. The experience with Maria made him realize every superhero had to take crime scenes seriously, so he took it upon himself to studying criminal investigation. But working with police got tiresome, and Jack sought his mother’s opinion on working in schools. She brought up that Hero High needed a criminal investigation teacher, and he took the job.
Personality: Despite his skeletal appearance and power, Jack is kind hearted and amiable to both students and teachers. He tends to get bored by routine easily, and usually partakes in actions just to break away or even cancelling lesson plans when he grows tired of it. However, he does not partake in dangerous activities. Jack is also inquisitive by nature, usually listening to true crime podcasts or solving crosswords as a means to enlighten his mind.
