“At least we have emergency numbers and people with tools should the door accidentally get pulled out its hinges.”
Strength was one of the few powers that could be manageable fixed. Riku’s own telekinesis was good at picking up thing, but not good at putting them back together. When he tried to fix collateral damage. It usually looked worse for wear. This was why he stuck more to offensive strategies as opposed to defensive. Same idea in sports. Caspar would be great defense with his strength.

"I'd prefer saving that call for stuff I'd break during training," Caspar shrugged.
He knew he would end up bashing things in during training. It was inevitable with his powers. Unless some of the eggheads here knew how to make super durable training dummies. Maybe he would ask. It couldn't hurt. The worst they could say was no. But having more durable dummies would help save the school money in the long run.

Riku didn't stop the laugh that came out. Something like that was worth sharing a laugh over. Dummy training was one of his favorite things that physical ed classes brought here. The dummies might as well have had a lawyer from how much happened. He still remembered the one dummy that had a quarter of its face melted and a kid did a poor Wicked Witch of the West imitation when it was done. With Caspar, the dummy beat up images were endless.

"Hey! It'd happen! I break stuff all the time!" Caspar said.
Though, he was sure it was a bad idea to boast about that now. Or give off any demonstrations. He would prefer that when there was a teacher there. One able to counteract him. Or negate his powers if need be. He did his best as he grew up to make sure he never accidentally used his powers on a person.

“Gives new meaning to ‘bull in a China shop’”. He felt bad for Caspar all of the sudden. Not being able to small things because of his strength. “If it helps, I can’t bend stuff without getting a massive migraine. My powers are tied to my thoughts and emotions.” It was painful to twist things with his mind. The shadows were clashing and he was also keeping his inner darkness back, so he always had to be careful.

"Yeah, well, I'm used to it!" Caspar assured him.
Everything he owned was second hand simply because he couldn't justify the expense of replacing things he accidentally broke. It's why he and cell phones had a love hate relationship. They tended to get broken with the whole 'touch screen' aspect of things. One aggressive text and his finger would punch a hole straight through without him even trying. And why he wasn't entirely attached to his newly reclaimed soccer ball. That too had been a thrifted find, one he wouldn't lament if it was destroyed.

Riku just nodded. The ball could have become a pancake of leather and Hero High would have had to start a frisbee golf club or team. Come to think of it, what kind of sports were going up this year? He remembered Blitzball had been fun. As was professional elemental fighting. So many uncommon sports, so little time. He set the ball down, realizing just now he had been idle with it in his hands for a while.

"You wanna play a round with me?" Caspar asked. "It'd be a shame if our work out was for nothing!"
They had both come out to burn off some energy and go do something, but Caspar understood if Riku had his hesitations. But Caspar already told himself he would put as little of his strength into kicking the ball as possible. In Caspar's opinion, there was no better way to bond than to hang out with someone. To do something together as a shared experience. It had been a while since he had actually spent time with anyone his age, because he had been afraid to hurt them. At least here, with other super-latent individuals like him, the chances diminished.

Riku smiled. A competitive gleam flashed in his green eyes as he stepped away from the ball. A friendly game would be nice. Especially against someone like Caspar. “Only if you can keep up.” And with that challenge, he dribbled the before kicking it away from the ripped net towards the forget side.

"Ha! You're on!" Caspar cried.
Delight light his face into a dazzling smile as he raced to keep up with Riku, trying not to put his feet through the ground as he ran. He managed to get in, take the ball back before turning back to his own goal. The torn goal. He was going to give his best to make sure that he won! He hadn't gotten to play with anyone like this since he was a kid - before his powers showed up. He could straight up kick it across the field and without a single doubt in his mind, he would have made the goal, but where was the fun in that? He dribbled back.

Welp, give Caspar credit, he was able to control his strength when he was running. One moment he had the ball, and the next it was being swiped from is feet by his opponent. Riku could so easily use his shadow powers to get the ball back, but there was a word for stuff like that. Cheating. No powers, just simple jock rules. Caspar stopped suddenly, when the goal was just in sight. This was Riku's cue. He rushed in and snagged the ball back, weaving back and forth back to his goal.

"Hey!"
Caspar swore at himself for not realizing that was coming. He just about tripped over himself in an attempt to change directions and chase after Riku. All the while he relished in this. It took all his concentration not to go too hard. Because if he tried, he could overtake Riku and also damage the gym floor in the process. He had to wait for an opening, but he managed to get in front of Riku to at least hinder his straight path to his goal.

The goal was in sight. All he needed was to to make a hard kick and it'd be in the net. But just as Riku was getting ready for the shot, Caspar was in front of him, blocking the goal. Riku adjusted the shot motion and resorted to simply dribbling, deliberately going quicker. Combining the shadow of the ball with his own made the ball seem to appear and disappear. After playing this magic trick several times, he weaved around Caspar, dropping the shadows to show he had the ball the whole time.
"Think fast!" he cried as he kicked the ball towards the goal.

He had a hard time keeping up with the illusion of the ball that Riku seemed to make appear and disappear but figured if he kept up with Riku and kept ahead of him, he could at least stop a goal from happening. Caspar lunged for the ball in front of the goal. He caught the ball, but instantly regretted it as he heard the pitiful noise of the ball being deflated. His fingers had punched a hole clean through the leather of the ball in catching it. Soon, he was just holding the husk of the ball in his hands. Caught up in the moment, he forgot last second to mind his own strength. He really had to work on that.
"Oh... man, I'm sorry." he said.

Well, Riku had underestimated Caspar’s speed. The blue haired kid had worked to get to the soaring object with a surprisingly impressive move. It didn’t get in the goal, but rather Caspar’s arms. Where the noise of air being let out of a ball echoed through the gym. All that was left was a black and white clump being held by Caspar. He had popped the ball like a toddler popping a balloon. Impressive. Riku’s smile and words were understanding.
“Nice catch.”
