Dorothea found her room easily. She carried her large steamer trunk into the room and set it off to one side. Which side of the room would her roommate want? Would they mind her collection of Broadway posters? The makeup setup? Well, scratch that. The other girls would have to deal with that situation. But what did catch her attention was a small layer of dust. Whoever had this room prior was not a good cleaner, and Dorothea didn’t need her and her roommate having dust bunnies as pets. She dug through her trunk before pulling out a monogrammed dusting cloth, humming to herself as she dusted. Normally she would sing out loud, but no one needed to be turned into cleaning zombies by her voice.

[sorry for the late reply! xoxo]
Katara had had a little trouble finding her room. Mostly because someone had given her the wrong directions. She didn't know who it was, some stranger, but now she was mad. She wanted to go and find them and tell them off for giving her wrong directions, but that would be going a little too far... maybe. In any case, she did find the room eventually. Her ears could hear something from inside, but she wasn't entirely sure what she was hearing until she opened the door and saw a girl cleaning and humming. Well, at least her roommate had talent and was conscientious about cleaning? Maybe this wouldn't be so bad? She was really worried about having a shitty roommate, to be honest.
As she entered, her bag still in hand, she cleared her throat to announce her arrival in the room. "Uh... hi?" She added, greeting rather awkwardly. She wasn't exactly the best socially and she kind of hated to interrupt, but she also didn't want to scare the girl by coming in without announcing herself. That, and she knew they'd have to introduce themselves to each other and probably try and get to know each other. They would be rooming together, after all.

"Oh! Hello!"
Right behind her, with a simple bag, was a brown haired, blue eyed girl. Dorothe tucked her cleaning cloth onto the pocket of her skirt. Stuffing it into her chest would have been far too bold for someone that she didn't even know. This must have been her roommate. Right. She was cleaning to give both of them a blank canvas to work with. She picked up her steamer trunk and pulled it to one side to give the girl more space to enter.
"You must be my roommate! My name's Dorothea. It's so nice to meet you."

The girl turned around to greet her in return. Katara shuffled somewhat awkwardly in her place as the girl moved her trunk to the side, allowing Katara more room to enter. Katara eyed the two sides of the room, taking in the beds. She honestly didn't really care which side she took. If the girl had a preference, Katara would let her take it. She smiled somewhat when the girl, Dorthea, introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you too, Dorthea. I'm Katara," she told her, moving further into the room. She pursed her lips for a moment before continuing, "Did you have a preference on which bed you wanted?" Katara wanted to be able to put her bag down, so she figured she'd get straight to that point before they continued to get to know each other.

Dorothea laughed. "You know what's funny? I was going to ask you the same question! I'm indifferent to which side I take. I just wanted to make a good impression first. Nothing's worse than coming in to a dust bunny filled room." She pursed her lips as she looked at the basic template of the room. Katara didn't have much save for her simple. Oh, one step at a time. Dorothea's Broadway posters could find homes later. "Did you need help unpacking?"

Katara relaxed some when Dorthea laughed and told her that she was thinking the same thing. Well, that was a relief! Katara smiled and let out a small laugh of her own. "Well, that's perfect then. I'm indifferent as well," she laughed. She looked between the beds as Dorthea continued about dust bunnies. "They really didn't do that well cleaning the rooms before the new students came, huh? Also, I'll take this bed then, if that's okay?" She pointed to the one on the left.
Katara let out a small hum at Dorthea's question. "Oh, no, I'm good. I've just got the basics, to be honest. I figured if I need anything else, my mom can send them to me." She didn't want to overpack, which probably resulted in her underpacking. She'd worry about that at a later date though.

Katara selected the bed to the left. Or in stage directions, stage right. Perfect. The steamer trunk was already out of the way of the area, so Dorothea would have no trouble moving everything to the other side. "It's all yours." Smiling, she moved the steamer trunk to the other bed. Katara insisted she was fine and that her mom would drop off everything later. Well, suit herself. She scooted the steamer trunk to the foot of the bed and began to unpack. First came her carefully wrapped framed Playbills. Then the wine red comforter and pillow shams for her bed. As she made her bed, Dorothea continued to make conversation. "My mom might send over some things, too."

Katara grinned at her in thanks before making her way over to the bed. She placed her bag on it before following suit to sit down. She tested the bounciness of the bed for a second, trying to see if it was all that comfortable. It wasn't the best quality, but she'd survive. It would definitely make her bed at home feel like a cloud once she was back in it. She watched as Dorthea started to unpack, looking at all of the things that were coming out of her trunk. Katara had just brought some clothes, bedsheets, hygiene projects, and some books. "I figured that'd be easier than lugging all of my stuff around, honestly," Katara continued, "So, uh... are you looking forward to school?" She was curious as to what kind of student Dorthea was, if only to know how it might impact Katara's own studies.

"If you're talking academics, it depends on the classes." Dorothea pulled out a few wall mounting strips to pin onto her framed Playbills. The bed creaked as she carefully balanced on her knees, measuring out the space of the pictures. 'The elemental class is the one I'm the most excited for. And hand to hand combat." Any class that required movement, really. Sitting at a desk and being told things was something she couldn't quite get into. "Mostly I'm just excited for the social aspect of school. Like what kind of clubs will be up."

Katara watched as Dorthea started to hang some posters or something. At a closer look, she noticed that they looked like Playbills. Oh, so she was into theater then? She could sort of get behind that. She wasn't necessarily good at any performing stuff, but she understood the merit in entertainment. Katara perked up a bit at the mention of the elemental class. "I'm looking forward to the elemental class too. I think that'll be interesting," she agreed.
Katara wasn't really sure she could understand the social aspects of school or liking that for that matter, but maybe the clubs would be interesting? She wasn't sure. "Do you know of any of the clubs that they have here?" To be honest, Katara hadn't researched any clubs. Surely, though, there would be at least one that would intrigue her, right?

“I heard through the grapevine that there’s a glee club. With everyone’s superpowers, it’d allow for some spectacular performances.” Dorothea could picture all the performers, the choir performing, and then for a finale, someone could use their powers to create an amazing effect. She sat down on the bed, satisfied with her decorating for now. “But enough about me. Tell me about you.”
