And like an unavoidable train wreck, the giant stone golem hit the trip rope. The line went taut and the giant tipped over dangerously. The room shook when it fell. Namine herself felt as if she had bounced off the ground when it collapsed. Just as she predicted, a bookshelf, heavily laden with books, collapsed atop the Cinderblock. It struggled to get up, but due to the position it was in, it couldn't. Namine let out a shaky breath. It was over. The Cinderblock would remain restrained until the police came along to collect it. She furiously scrubbed at her eyes to hide the fact she had been crying from the fear of it all.
"E-everyone should get out!" she tried to shout but her voice came out more as a whisper.

His heartbeat started to slow back to a normal rate. When the rock giant fell, it took awhile for the shock to subside. The giant monster had fallen for such a silly trick like this? It was almost laughable, however these creatures did not seem to know anything other than destruction. He smirked, they had managed to help. How lucky they were. He owed the blonde girl for the idea.
"EVERYONE!" he cupped his hands around his mouth. "I know I know it was a great show and I am sure that everyone wants to see the huge pile of rocks right now but I highly suggest that you all make your way out of the store and wait for the police to arrive."

Namine shakily got to her feet. Her knees felt as if they would give way at any moment. She was glad the other boy was there. He was the more confident 'hero' of them both. She looked out the shattered window of the shop. She could hear the wailing sirens in the distance. The kids had gotten to the cops after all. She let out a shaky breath and tried to take stock of herself. Dirty from the debris, with a tear in the shoulder of her dress, no injuries, but that could have been much, much worse. The thought of being turned to jelly beneath that goliath's fists was a reality she narrowly avoided. She wrapped her arms around herself.

There was so much going on. Too much. He didn't know where to start looking or where to turn next. Already people were starting to make their way out of the shop, avoiding anything that had fallen or glass shards, a few kept looking over their shoulders at the stone beast lying on the ground in front of him. It would certainly make the front pages. His green eyes finally rested on the blonde girl who had helped him, if she hadn't been there no one would have gotten out, and he probably would have been dead. She had saved them.
She looked tired, mentally exhausted and scared. He pushed himself through the throng of people and came to her side. "Hey." he said calmly. There was no time for jokes. "It's over now. You alright?"

Namine's lips quivered. She was doing her utmost not to cry. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop shaking. That was perhaps one of the most terrifying things she had ever been through in her entire life. And yet, here she was at a hero academy where they would put her life in those sorts of threatening situations. What on earth was she thinking? She had almost been a smear if that stone golem had gotten any closer.
"I-I think so," though her voice was no more than a whisper. And it was a lie. She wanted to curl up into a ball and sob.

The young man knew that this was serious. Most people would probably be in the same situation as the girl right now, he was sure those kids would be excited talking about heroes but by tonight they would probably be having nightmares about the event. His green eyes softened as he offered a hand to her.
"Hey, come on, we should get out of here." he gave a gentle smile to her, hoping to ease some of her fears. "The police might want to talk to us or even the other heroes who come. I think that we did all we could right now."

Namine had to hastily rub at her eyes before she took the boy's hand. She let him lead her out of the shop. Perhaps for the best because she didn't trust herself to walk out alone. Not after a scare like that. However, it had only been a waiting game. She had drawn that awful picture of the attack. She knew how it ended. Sort of. The police would have gotten there eventually. But if the boy hadn't been there, if they hadn't made the choices they did, there might have been more casualties. But, she was still uncomfortable with showing anyone her powers. She rubbed at the inky drawing, smeared by sweat on her arm, hoping to blur it away.

Claude didn't say anything for awhile, but he did notice that she was rubbing away the ink on her arm. Did she not like her power or was it that it never showed her all the events before hand? He had to think on that. "By the way, we never actually had a chance to introduce ourselves. Name's Claude Von Riegan, but please just Claude perfect for me." He gave her a carefree smile.

Namine winced but with her non-ink smeared hand, she shook his.
"My name is Namine," she said quietly. "It's nice to meet you."
Except, she had drawn him. Or vague outlines of him. Not enough to have gotten his name, only to know he would be there. She warily regarded him, wondering if he would think she was weird. Or demand to know what was up with her power. She didn't like sharing it after all. Not after her uncle had used (abused) and profited off of her abilities. The last thing she wanted was to be locked away again.
"Do... you think we could... downplay my part in all this when we give our statements to the police?" she asked. "I just... don't want the attention."

Claude blinked, not expecting that question. Why wouldn't she want some of the attention? Oh wait, no, the way she was shaking and being so quiet. She was introverted, of course all the flashing cameras or questions would make it feel like the whole world was watching that and maybe she didn't want everyone to know about her gift. Claude could make up something to drive the attention away from her. That would be fun.
"No problem, leave it to me Namine." Claude replied giving a wink. "Though I doubt we will get a lot of attention, we aren't big heroes yet."

The breath she had been holding was released in a whoosh. Truly, she was incredibly grateful that he understood, even if she hadn't outright said it. Things were easier for her if no one knew what she was capable of. Hard to do as a 'hero' but the longer she could prolong a big reveal, the better. She was still trying to heal from the fact her own family (i.e her uncle) had profited off her abilities under the guise of love and care for years. She was afraid to open up about it.
"Thank you so much," she said with utmost sincerity.
