After moving into his dorm, the first thing Albedo did was find the nearest classroom set up for experimentation in a computer space. Currently, he was familiarizing himself with the set up and what was on hand. He decided, it was better stocked than the one at his last college. He was exploring his options. Already his mind was running a mile a minute, trying to decide what sort of experiment he should try first. He had been in the middle of an AI project, that his father had confiscated because it was a little too 'smart'. Or there was his quantum computing aspirations. Nanotechnology wasn't entirely out of the realm of possibility either. Decisions. Decisions.

Namine had gone to the beach to draw, so Zelda figured giving her roommate some alone time was healthy. She held her Slate in both of her hands as she entered one of the classrooms. With everything being technologically upgraded, she wanted to acquaint herself with the wiring should her power be needed. Inside was another student with straw colored hair, fiddling with his own technology. Zelda said nothing, but slid into one of the available seats, silently playing on her Slate…after switching it to silent of course.

"Who are you?"
The question bursts from Albedo before he could stop it. He was more annoyed about someone else being in the room as the same time as he was. He was always so limited when someone else was around. He would legit leave the room if she was going to say something like 'playing candy crush' or something inane like that.

Zelda glared at the young man. Rudeness was something she wouldn’t tolerate. However, seeing all the technology scattered around, she would chalk the outburst to projection and stress. Well, not that she’s say it out loud, she was a techno path, not a psychologist. She put down her Slate. “I’m Zelda Kaiser, and I came here to orient myself with new classroom technology. Surely some rooms have updated.”

"What do you mean by updated? You've been here before?"
He raised a brow. If she was showing familiarity with the mechanisms, then she was obviously a regular, but how much of a regular? Was she just a casual tinkerer? What sort of projects did she work on? He looked her over, curious now. His eyes fell on the slate in her hand. It looked like a higher quality than any standard old tablet.

"Not here, but I have seen the technology used in fancy venues. Places like convention centers and the like."
Suddenly, she began to feel self conscious. She tucked back a strange of hair behind her ear and looked down towards one of the outlets on the wall. Usually talking about technology pinned her as just an IT person, and therefore not welcome in environments such as this.

"Do you dabble in inventing things?" Albedo asked.
It wasn't a hobby if she went to venues and convention centers to go look over technology. He had done it plenty of times, most often ending up disappointed by what they had. Or figuring he could make it better than them. That paranoia in the back of his head was starting to ebb away. Perhaps he could have an intellectual conversation with someone without having to dumb things down. It was what his father wanted, after all.

A tiny blush came on Zelda's cheeks. Welp, he read her like a book. Or a science manual. She glanced down at her Slate, just sitting there. No doubt he had seen it before this.
"Well, kind of. I'm not exactly the best it. I do my best, what with using my power to figure out which wires go to which, and of course there's always the matter of learning if we can create different kinds of electric currents if we put different metals together without anyone getting hurt, or heck, even environmental powers like solar or wind...."
She stopped, giggling nervously.
"Forgive me. I got a bit carried away there."

"And what have you found out about the electrical currents?" Albedo asked.
He reached out and grabbed the back of a chair and pulled it so he could sit across from her. Now he was completely consumed in the conversation. All thoughts of his own projects on hold. Perhaps her own research could help him further his own. Power sources were always needed when dealing with projects such as his.

Zelda stole a glance to a power outlet on the wall. “One moment.” She rose from her chair and went over, placing her hand on it. When her fingers touched it, the familiar hum of different metals reacting through different channels thrummed in her ears. “Well, this upper outlet is standard to most plugs. However, given that the wiring connects to other classrooms, it’d be wiser to use a power strip should multiple plugs be used, otherwise a blackout could occur. The lower outlet has a bit more energy. Not as much as an industrial plug, but there certainly is a difference.”

"You can tell all that just by touch?" Albedo asked. "Fascinating..."
Though, his secondary comment was more to himself than towards her in general. Like with any new scientific revelation, he wanted to know more. He supposed he should have been worried about offending her, but the thought flitted across his mind and was out the door just as quickly.
"Can you tell if it's due to faulty wiring? Just how far can you sense that electrical current?"

"Faulty wiring would be easier to notice if there weren't so many branching circuits in the building. In a simple machine, it'd be easier to focus on that probability, but a room like this, it's something I have yet to truly master and learn."
Zelda wasn't afraid to admit that she needed to learn things. Heck, she liked learning. When it was something that was particularly interested in, anyways. he stepped away from the outlet to give her brain a break from digging too far into the systems. Any more and she'd had an overload on her own.

"How are you about sensing nanotechnology?" Albedo questioned. "Could you suffuse your power through them and do that?"
From what little she was sharing about her power, it was quite fascinating. Enough to consume all of Albedo's attention at the moment. Exactly what were the limitations of her power? Surely, she had to have tested the theory for herself. What she could or could not do... If left unattended, she could be frightfully powerful. A good thing the heroes had her on their side.

“Temporarily, yes. However, the molecular structure of nanotechnology means I cannot harness or communicate with it long. It’s like talking or playing with a hyper child. And even then, my charge and shut down power has a lengthy cooldown.”
Ten minutes at max. In a situation where she was fighting crime, she’d be on the sidelines resting her shutdown after possibly turning off street lights to keep traffic and innocent people out of the fray. The physical fighting was not her strongest. Strategy was her best bet. She was liking these situations that were being thrown at her. It was giving her hypothetical mindsets.

"Hmm... How to go about extending your charge and control?" He mused to himself.
He got up from his seat, pacing as he began to run through possible scenarios in which they could test or extend Zelda's potential for controlling nanobots. Was there a way of making a more intellectually sound nanonbot? One that wasn't as unruly as a child?
